Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Loans Underwriting Administrator to join our team at Optima Recruitment. As a key member of our mortgage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of loan applications, from initial submission to final approval.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input loan applications into our internal processing system, liaising with customers and brokers to obtain any missing documentation.
  • Organise property valuations, including liaising with valuers to provide additional information as needed.
  • Ensure all documents, including reports, are attached to the relevant cases in preparation for underwriting.
  • Respond to customer, intermediary, or solicitor enquiries via email or phone, in liaison with the New Business department as required.
  • Support the Completions Officer with the administration of mortgage officers following the underwriting process.
  • Conduct administration for post-contract variations, including issuing documentation to customers and updating internal systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience within mortgage or financial services, preferably in an administrative role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using internal processing systems and software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
