Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Hours: Various Hours

Salary: From £11.44-£13.00 an hour

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Excell Supply Ltd. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to young children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities:

  • Protect and promote the health and well-being of children
  • Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
  • Support children's learning and development through play
  • Be a key person to a small group of children and build positive relationships with their families
  • Monitor children's progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
  • Plan and create activities which keep children engaged throughout the day
  • Enable children to become more independent
  • Help prepare children for the transition into school life

Requirements:

  • Hold a Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification
  • Be an excellent and inspirational practitioner, with young children's well-being at the forefront of all actions
  • Possess excellent communication and behaviour management skills
  • Demonstrate transferrable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, caring, and helpfulness
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (can be obtained through Excell Supply Ltd if necessary)
