We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Dalkia UK on a full-time, permanent basis. As a trusted partner in the built environment, we engineer, manage and optimize smart spaces and places using emerging technologies for our customers that improve where people work, learn and live.
About this role:
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, and extra works/emergencies in accordance with contract requirements on Mechanical and Electrical Services.
- Carry out PPM according to set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of Plant and associated electrical and mechanical systems.
- Adhere to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
- Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are followed in all respects and maintain accurate records/documentation related to the electrical and mechanical aspects of PPM and plant.
- Respond promptly and effectively to electrically and mechanically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
- Coordinate initial actions associated with client requests.
- Coordinate visiting specialist subcontractors associated with electrical and mechanical aspects of PPM schedules.
- Respond to call-outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with electrical and mechanical services aspects of the contract as required.
- Determine electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis associated with PPM or Reactive Maintenance of the site.
- Repair electrical systems and controls associated with Heating and Ventilation Building Services.
- Repair and maintenance of lighting and distribution systems.
- Assist other trades as necessary.
- Attend monthly site meetings as required.
- Provide reports in relation to work and equipment as required.
- Undertake miscellaneous duties as requested by the Client.
- Proactively work towards the growth of the contract into other service provisions, including Mechanical and Electrical, Like-for-like replacements, Project works, FM Soft Services, etc.
- Repair and Maintenance of Gas, Plumbing/Mechanical, Electrical systems.
- City & Guilds Parts SVQ 2/3 IN Service & Maintenance or recognized equivalent; or Service & Maintenance Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry; or recognized trade apprenticeship in heating – plumbing or electrical engineering.
- Health and Safety Training.
- GCSE (or 'O' Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognized equivalent.
- Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.
- Experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work.
- Must be Gas Safe qualified, COCN1, CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1/1A, TPCP1/1A.
- IPAF Operators Licence 3a + 3b.
- PASMA.
- Experience in computer PPM management systems (Concept Evolution – use of PDA).
- 17/18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) regulations or recognized equivalent.
- Supervisory experience for future development.
- Experience in BMS, Automatic Controls, Building Automation Systems.
- ACOP L8 Control of Legionella.
- Compliant on F Gas, C&G Level 2 Category 1 ODS Regulations.
