About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data and Analytics Engineer to join our team at Jet2. As a key member of our data delivery team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering innovative data solutions to complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our solution and data architects to deliver complex data and analytics solutions, including data ingestion, processing, and visualization.
  • Manage a team of Senior, Mid, and Junior Level Data and Analytics Engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Design and lead data modeling, transformation, and cleansing efforts to ensure high-quality data for consumption by both technical and non-technical users.
  • Drive a data-first culture within the data team and across the business, promoting continual learning and development.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, leveraging various data sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and event-driven data feeds.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in developing data pipelines, with a strong understanding of data modeling, transformation, and cleansing techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouse technology, such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and ability to write complex queries across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, and experience with data CI/CD pipelines.
