Milk Intake Operative Job Description

Müller UK & Ireland is a leading dairy company with a strong presence in the UK market. We are currently seeking a skilled Milk Intake Operative to join our team at our Bridgwater Dairy in Somerset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the smooth running of the raw milk intake, cream export, reclaim area, and chemical offload area.
  • Carry out lab testing to analyze, record, and report results in relation to all required processing lab tests.
  • Operate the SCADA system and replenish chemicals as needed.
  • Sample FMTs and export bulk cream to tankers.
  • Maintain the hygiene of the processing area.
  • Contribute to the offloading of raw milk, exporting of cream, and chemical offload.
  • Work with site teams to deliver improvement projects, activities, and events aligned to the company's objectives and goals.
  • Support and contribute to all department and site PMS activities.
  • Support any new system, structure, or process improvement projects.
  • Help maintain good workplace organization and visual management.
  • Ensure that all relevant data is captured and recorded in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Reliable and highly organized individual.
  • Resilient and self-disciplined with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of roles.
  • Physical role with lots of walking, manual cleaning, and pressure washing involved.
