We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Animal Technician to join our team at S3 Science in Exeter. Our client is a leading UK Research facility with a strong reputation for excellence in animal research. The successful candidate will be responsible for the health and welfare of the facility animals, supporting the research team in their projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing husbandry and animal care of rodents in the unit
  • Actively using Home Office License under ASPA act 1986
  • Supporting the facility with daily husbandry tasks
  • Being a key member of staff responsible for medicines
  • Record keeping, such as animal and laboratory records
  • Assisting with animal experimentation and research

Requirements:

  • PIL License holder (Modules A-C)
  • IAT Level 2 qualification
  • Previous experience training staff members
  • BSc or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent degree
  • Previous experience working with rodents in a research facility

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong commitment to animal welfare.
