About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our ITV Insights Group's analytics function. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with Insight Managers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to innovate, inform, and impact decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and embed data experimentation and innovation across ITV business domains to drive business outcomes and value.
  • Build analytical solutions, such as attribution methodologies across marketing campaigns, content release strategies, or viewer segmentations.
  • Provide accurate and insightful analysis on how our viewers engage and consume the nation's best-loved and most-watched content, across broadcast, VOD, or SVOD.
  • Develop proof of concept analysis to support the implementation of new metrics or segmentation methodologies that ladder up to our KPIs.
  • Evaluate performance of content, release strategies, and marketing and product experiments, making recommendations for future tests and next steps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Insight Managers, Data Scientists, Analysts, and business stakeholders, to drive projects forward.
Requirements
  • Data analytics industry experience.
  • Ability to create insightful analysis and dashboards.
  • Comfortable visualizing and presenting analysis across a range of formats (reports, PowerPoint, dashboards, email).
  • Experience using SQL to analyze large datasets on Data lakes or EDWs.
  • Understanding of analytical techniques and statistical concepts.
Desirable Skills
  • TV Ratings, VOD content analysis, BARB or Advantedge experience.
  • Experience with attribution methodologies and digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4).
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as GCP (BigQuery), AWS (Redshift), and Databricks.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tell stories with data.
  • Keen problem solver who can demonstrate critical thinking, coupled with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive in preventing errors.
  • A passion for TV programs and an interest in the wider media landscape.
