We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Leeds. This is a 6-month day rate contract with a hybrid working pattern, requiring the candidate to be commutable to Leeds and willing to work from the office.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial processes, including reconciliation, reporting, and approval. You will work closely with Group Finance and external auditors, handling stakeholder relationships and addressing ad-hoc queries. As a leader, you will oversee direct reports and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of RTR balance reconciliations, journal adjustments, and reporting
  • Develop and review RTR reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Group Finance, external auditors, and other teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to maintain compliance
  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure high standards are maintained
Requirements:
  1. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification or working towards it
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in retail or FMCG sectors
  3. Detailed knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and SAP (certification an asset)
  4. Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data
