Job Title: Assistant Principal

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team at Sheffield Springs Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Principal and Senior Leadership Team in the leadership, management, and organisation of the academy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight: Providing strategic oversight of programmes of intervention delivered by staff, academic tutors, and supporting the work of trust-level subject advisors.
  • Leadership of Interventions: Leading interventions to support individuals and cohorts of students, including in-school time and interventions taking place outside normal school time.
  • Line Management: Providing high-quality line management to specific middle leaders as a SLT Link.
  • Staff Support: Supporting staff in setting and achieving aspirational targets for all students.
  • Team Work: Working as part of a highly effective leadership team to support the running of a calm, purposeful, and positive academy.
