**Job Summary**

We are a charitable education Trust with a good track record for school improvement, sponsoring 29 academies across the North of England.

Our Finance Team is looking for a skilled Management Accountant to join us, based at ESSA Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the efficient use of resources.
  2. Manage financial systems, including reconciliations, forecasting, budget setting, and cash flow forecasting.
  3. Oversee internal and external audits.
  4. Supervise staff and manage payroll, HMRC, and other external agency payments and tax contributions.

Requirements:

  • AAT qualification with practical experience in a financial environment, preferably in the academies sector.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

Salary:

£45,441 - £47,420 per annum (FTE).
