Executive Culinary Director

As a leading contract catering company specializing in school food, Aspens Services Ltd combines its understanding of the education sector with its knowledge of food trends. This allows our teams to be creative and exciting in their kitchens, providing fantastic food experiences for children.

We prioritize excellent care and services for both clients and children, ensuring the successful growth of the company. To maintain this pace, we are seeking an experienced Executive Culinary Director to join our team.

As Executive Culinary Director, you will have full operational and financial responsibility for your schools' catering facility. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality food and service while showcasing flair, originality, and the ability to make this one of the best school catering offers in the area.

• Lead, develop, coach, train, and motivate your kitchen team.
• Have full control of the catering operation, including stock, food, and labor costs.
• Ensure consistency of food and service standards delivered to students and staff.
• Drive sales through monthly promotions and added-value events.
• Manage and improve all controllable costs.
• Oversee menu development.
• Maintain company systems & procedures, and legislation.
• Carry out regular audits to ensure standards are being met.

We need someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools, along with the following skills and experience:

• OND or HND qualified (advantageous but not essential).
• Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets.
• Line management experience.
• Experience within a similar environment.

Enjoy fantastic hours, working Monday to Friday during school term time, allowing more time with friends and family, and no working at Christmas. This role includes:

• 27.5 hours per week - with no late nights.
• Working 38 weeks per year based around term time - what could you do with all that time off?
• £13.50 per hour.
