Join Our Team as a Development Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team at Employment Specialists Ltd. As a Development Underwriter, you will play a key role in driving growth and expansion across East Anglia.

About the Role

As a Development Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting Commercial products on a new business basis, developing and maintaining broker relationships, and ensuring panel/regional growth. You will work closely with our Business Development Manager and another Commercial Underwriter to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new business pipelines and underwrite your own caseload
  • Leverage your market expertise to adopt a positive and comprehensive underwriting approach
  • Contribute to the identification and acquisition of new business, driving growth in GWP across the Commercial book
  • Be the key contact for handling referrals, strategy, and risk appetite
Requirements
  • Strong Commercial underwriting experience
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills to enable you to work closely with your Broker partners
  • The desire to be successful in a New Business environment
  • Confident communicator, able to lead and influence discussions and make decisions with integrity
