Job Title: Project Controls Engineer

At Turner & Townsend, we're seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
  • Develop and implement cost and schedule baselines, and monitor performance against them.
  • Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, and apply governance controls as necessary.
  • Collaborate with remote teams to ensure cost and schedule accuracy, and provide value to our clients.
  • Guide and influence general contractors to ensure they are progressing in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing formal and ad-hoc reports.
  • Create and maintain cost reports, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Understand and apply change management principles, leading agreed change management processes and workflows.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile master project/programme schedules.
  • Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on project cost and schedule.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project controls coordination, with specialist life sciences or data centre sector experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, and critically evaluate information and data from various sources.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
