As a leader in bringing RISC-V to high-performance and data-intensive applications, SiFive's compute platforms enable technology companies to innovate, optimize, and deliver cutting-edge solutions across various markets, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, automotive, data center, mobile, and consumer.
Job DescriptionThe Security Architect role will play a vital part in SiFive's mission to create silicon at the speed of software across its entire IP portfolio, including Essential, Intelligence, Performance, and Automotive IPs. The successful candidate will help plan the roadmap for SiFive security features, collaborate with various teams, and develop groundbreaking new security features. This role will also involve engaging with customers and partners to determine the future of platform security on RISC-V and collaborating with the RISC-V International Association to drive the state of the art of computer security forward.
Key Responsibilities- Define platform security requirements and architecture for security features.
- Write detailed specifications in accordance with functional leads.
- Contribute to micro-architecture design and review implementation of security features.
- Examine core microarchitecture to assess security and define countermeasures for vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with micro-architects, SoC architects, and performance architects to develop microarchitecture of security features.
- Interact with customers to understand their needs, use cases, and concerns.
- Participate in various TG/HC related to security.
- Familiarity with advanced CPU architectures and pipelines.
- Experience in SoC design flow, including spec definition, microarchitecture design, and performance modeling.
- Familiarity with common security threat models.
- Familiarity with micro-architectural side-channel attacks and mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with secure enclave solutions for high-end CPUs.
- Familiarity with automotive security considerations and solutions.
- Familiarity with mobile device security considerations and solutions.
- Familiarity with ROP and JOP exploitation techniques.
- Familiarity with security certification processes and methodologies, such as Common Criteria, PSA, SESIP, FIPS 140-3.
- Familiarity with common cryptographic algorithms and systems.
- Basic understanding of public key cryptography.
