We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Global Tax Compliance and Strategy to join our dynamic Finance team at The Hut Group.

We handle everything in-house, from technology to e-commerce, marketing, manufacturing, new product development, and logistics. Our Finance team plays a crucial role in supporting the business through dynamic and challenging roles.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a great chance for the right candidate to refine and develop the tax operating model, with autonomy to implement changes required to build a compliance function fit for the future. The successful candidate will take ownership of delivery all corporate income tax compliance requirements globally and work closely with advisors, group reporting teams, and lead tax input for year-end reporting.

  • Taking full ownership of global corporate income tax compliance requirements in all territories.
  • Managing relationships with UK and overseas advisors on compliance matters.
  • Leading tax input for group year-end, interim, and statutory account reporting.
  • Participating in tax leadership groups to raise the profile of tax within the business and delivering training to others.
  • Supporting the Group Tax Director in managing HMRC and overseas tax office relationships through audit processes.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need strong tax accounting skills (IFRS), international tax knowledge with a focus on the US and Europe, and experience managing transfer compliance and reporting obligations. You should also have an understanding of Pillar 2 rules and data requirements for future compliance and accuracy. Additionally, you should be familiar with tax issues associated with M&A projects, such as acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, internal reorganisations, and demergers.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
