About the Role

Bridgwater & Taunton College is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Associate Lecturer to join our team in Foundation Learning. As a specialist in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to our learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective teaching, learning, and assessment to learners with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching, learning, and assessment approaches to maximize learner potential
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote inclusive practice and high-quality lessons
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall development of the department

Requirements

  • Experience working with learners with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Specialist area of expertise in SEND or SEMH
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to promoting inclusive practice and high-quality teaching and learning
