About the Role

The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a robust risk management framework that aligns with the company's overall strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to the company's operations, reputation, and financial performance.
  • Lead the internal audit function to ensure that it is independent, objective, and effective in evaluating the company's risk management, control, and governance processes.
  • Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors and senior management on risk-related matters, including emerging risks, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that risk management is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure that the company's risk management practices are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks and internal audit programs.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles, internal audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks to the company's operations and reputation.

Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in risk management, internal audit, or a related field (e.g. CRMA, CISA, CIA).
  • Relevant experience in a senior risk management or internal audit role.
