Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced clinician to work as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in our Children's Community Service. The successful candidate will be a key member of our community team, providing assessment, goal planning, and reviews to enable our patients to gain their maximum level of independence in their own homes and schools.
The ideal candidate will have a good variety of clinical experience and be committed to providing the highest standard of assessment and treatment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work with children, their families, and carers in a team environment.
The work will primarily involve a combination of clinic-based assessments and visits to a child's home and school. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development of our OT service and work with a diverse range of children and families.
Main Duties of the Job
- To work as an integral member of the CYPS OT Service to provide a service through holistic assessment, collaborative goal setting, and the delivering and evaluating of intervention to children in their homes or schools.
- To assess and treat own caseload of patients/clients.
- To provide supervision and support to registered OTs, OT assistants as appropriate.
- To provide occupational therapy advice to other disciplines.
- May participate in departmental research.

Qualifications
- Degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Experience
- Experience of working in the NHS in the UK in the clinical specialty.
