Purchasing Officer Job Description

Bela Recruitment is seeking a skilled Purchasing Officer to join their team in a secure and growing business. As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and orders from suppliers to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue purchase orders for products and materials
  • Maintain a procurement database and support Buyers with administrative duties
  • Build relationships with internal and external suppliers and the customer service team to understand business requirements
  • Spot potential issues with orders around lead time and delivery and notify colleagues
  • Gather information from the database to share with colleagues on stock levels

Requirements:

  • Ideal previous purchasing, buying, or supply chain experience
  • Experience raising purchasing orders, invoice resolution, and getting quotes for orders
  • Good experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong administration skills, attention to detail, and good basic maths skills
  • Great communication skills and a professional attitude
