Purchasing Officer Job Description
Bela Recruitment is seeking a skilled Purchasing Officer to join their team in a secure and growing business. As a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and orders from suppliers to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue purchase orders for products and materials
- Maintain a procurement database and support Buyers with administrative duties
- Build relationships with internal and external suppliers and the customer service team to understand business requirements
- Spot potential issues with orders around lead time and delivery and notify colleagues
- Gather information from the database to share with colleagues on stock levels
Requirements:
- Ideal previous purchasing, buying, or supply chain experience
- Experience raising purchasing orders, invoice resolution, and getting quotes for orders
- Good experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Strong administration skills, attention to detail, and good basic maths skills
- Great communication skills and a professional attitude
Rewards:
