About the RoleThis Performing Arts Teacher position involves teaching music, drama, and dance across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 at a vibrant school in Newcastle.
- You will lead dynamic lessons that foster creativity and self-expression, while creating a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- As part of your responsibilities, you will nurture student talent, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback to inform teaching practices.
This role requires a deep passion for the performing arts and excellent communication skills to engage with students and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Develop and teach a range of Performing Arts subjects, including music, drama, and dance.
- Inspire and support students to reach their full potential through creativity and self-expression.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters artistic growth and development.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to inform teaching practices.
- Cultivate student participation in school performances, productions, and creative projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to build and promote a diverse performing arts curriculum.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A deep passion for the performing arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality lessons.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, Dance, or related field.
- Experience teaching performing arts across KS3 and KS4, although this is not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
