Data Migration Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Migration Analyst to join our team at Reed. As a Data Migration Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting and transforming data from legacy systems to ensure seamless integration with our new social care and finance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract data from legacy systems, including social care and finance systems, and transform it into the required format.
  • Liaise with business representatives, developers, and project leads to identify and address any data that fails to meet minimum migration standards.
  • Ensure that required data is extracted and provided to the Data Migration Specialist for transformation activities, in line with project plan timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in migration of social care systems, ideally with experience with Mosaic.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Adults and/or Children's Services process and procedures and the likely related statutory reporting requirements.
  • Extensive experience with writing database extracts, analyzing tables, and writing extraction procedures in various technologies, such as OraclePL/SQL and Integration Services.
  • Extensive experience of social care case management and finance migrations, with an excellent understanding of finance data issues, forms, and workflows.
  • Good understanding of source control principles and version.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of working in IT projects and ability to contribute to and/or manage relevant documentation, such as RAID and migration scope.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and to produce high-quality written reports summarizing data, complex issues, and risks.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders from various audiences and technical understanding, with the ability to translate complex migration issues for non-technical people.
  • High level of competence in the use of IT systems, with the ability to self-teach and assist/mentor others in the use of IT systems and processes in relation to data migration.
