Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with members, stakeholders, and agencies, fostering relationships that vastly improve cyber security. You will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the continuous monitoring of SOC customer IT infrastructure, networks, and systems for signs of suspicious or malicious activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the continuous monitoring of SOC customer IT infrastructure, networks, and systems for signs of suspicious or malicious activity.
  • Participate in the Incident Response 24/7 on-call rota (out of hours duties may be required but will be kept to a minimum).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in incident response, threat hunting, and cybersecurity best practices. You will also have the chance to work with a talented team of cybersecurity professionals who are passionate about protecting the digital landscape.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, and you will be based in Coventry Road, Birmingham. The salary for this role is £65,000 per annum, plus benefits including generous annual leave, pension schemes, and a range of well-being benefits.

Requirements
  • Prior experience in a cybersecurity role with demonstrable skills in incident response activities.
  • Excellent understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, and best practices, including knowledge of threat landscapes, attack vectors, and defensive strategies.
  • Strong understanding of IT environments and common infrastructure, including Microsoft Stack (Azure, Active Directory), virtualization platforms, backup systems, and cloud platforms.
