The hourly rate of pay for this full-time position is £12.56 - £12.69 per hour, with a 35-hour workweek and 52 weeks of employment annually. Part-time hours or sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.


This is a temporary role until April, working 38 weeks during school term time only.


Specifically, the days and times of work are:



  • Monday to Thursday: 10:15-11:00 and 12:10-13:25
  • Friday: 10:15-11:00

Job Details


As a Playground Activity Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and inclusive environment for pupils to engage in play activities within the school playground and indoor spaces when appropriate.


Your goal will be to encourage children to interact harmoniously while ensuring their safety.


About the Role


We are seeking an individual who is patient, kind, and able to effectively manage groups of children during playtime.


Responsibilities


Your key responsibilities as a Playground Activity Coordinator include:



  1. Managing and maintaining a safe play environment within the school grounds.
  2. Encouraging positive relationships between children during play activities.
  3. Maintaining order and discipline during play sessions.
  4. Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of play activities.
