Pharmacy Assistant Role

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Endorse prescription forms, label, and dispense prescriptions to patients in accordance with correct operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of dispensing transactions and forward invoices and correspondence to the necessary department.
- Support the delivery of medicine use reviews and ensure refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature.
- Operate efficient stock control to ensure continuity of supply for patients and minimize wastage.
- Answer telephone inquiries and refer callers to the pharmacist when necessary.
Requirements:
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical principles and practices.
