Caretaker and Maintenance Specialist - Polaris Community
About the PositionWe are looking for a skilled Caretaker and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Polaris Community in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing community that values its staff and students.
The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining clean, safe, and secure school premises, including buildings and grounds. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out cleaning, handy person activities, routine maintenance, and refurbishment, porterage, and minor repairs;
- Promoting health and safety around the school;
- Carrying out regular checks of CCTV and alarm systems, locks, fire safety appliances, security gates, and perimeter fencing;
Salary: £26,402 (basic salary)
