SJB Services UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to fill the role of Functional Assessor. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life.

About the Role

This rewarding position offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to apply their clinical expertise and make a positive difference in people's lives. Your main task will be to conduct thorough assessments, taking into account each individual's medical history and performing physical examinations as necessary.

Based on your findings, you will produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to inform their decisions regarding benefit eligibility. This role involves interacting with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video calls, requiring empathy, compassion, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assess individuals and determine how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and perform physical examinations as necessary.
  • Produce high-quality, concise reports for the DWP.
  • Interact with individuals in a professional, empathetic manner.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Hcpc registered physiotherapist with minimum 12 months recent broad-based post-registration experience.
  • Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision-making would be advantageous.
  • Continuous professional development present on cv.
  • Member of the chartered society of physiotherapy (csp).
  • Sound understanding of clinical governance and customer service levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
