About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at St Mark's Care Home in Maidenhead. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home
  • Create and update individual care plans for residents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medication records
  • Ensure adequate staffing is maintained within the home
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the team, promoting residents' independence, choice, and dignity
  • Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, as well as with local partners and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Valid UK NMC pin and commitment to NMC Codes of Conduct and professional development
  • Understanding of the impact of quality nursing care on residents' lives, promoting independence, choice, and dignity
  • Up-to-date knowledge of tissue viability, infection control, and care planning
  • Ability to build relationships, lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
