About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our client's team in Somerset. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You will be required to lead a team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors, Packing, Despatch, and Warehouse Operators, as well as the EHS Officer and Laboratory Technicians.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the correct controls and documentations are in place to guarantee product quality, integrity, and traceability.
  • To manage the laboratory and ensure compliance with procedures/processes in Bi-metal and Plating, as well as Small Turbo part cleanliness.
  • To administer, maintain, and develop the EHS management systems and promote a positive Quality and EHS culture.
  • To effectively manage the goods inwards and despatch areas, including 5S and consignment identification, and ensure that consignments are despatched correctly.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a quality and EHS management role is essential, ideally within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.
  • Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of quality management systems, specifically ISO9001.
  • Experience of successfully leading a team, prioritizing tasks, motivating team members, and driving quality performance.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Possess high-level competency in spreadsheet, database, and word applications.
  • A degree in an engineering-related discipline or lower-level qualification supported by relevant engineering experience.

What We Offer:

  • An estimated salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 26 days holiday per annum plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
  • Day shift hours (07.00 to 16.30 Monday to Wednesday, 07.00 to 16.00 Thursday).
