Job Description

Role Overview

Morson Talent is seeking a highly skilled Badger Management Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. The appointed person will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the approach to badgers for the project, including the further development of the badger Management Strategy and licensing for the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop, execute, monitor, and assure the Badger Management Strategy, including the development of badger surveys and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that the proposed approach to badgers takes account of constructability, health and safety, maintenance, access, and monitoring requirements, as well as further ecological and environmental constraints and controls.
  • Support the design team to ensure that the ecological objectives of the badger strategy are met through the development of the design.
  • Develop a robust commercial estimate for the delivery of the badger Management Strategy, incorporating it into the overall project estimate.
  • Support the procurement approach for the delivery of the badger Mitigation Strategy.
  • Identify risks and measures to counteract the impact of these risks to the delivery of the badger Management strategy.
  • Identify opportunities and innovative approaches that can be implemented to better secure the badger Management strategy.
  • Maintain a record of assumptions for the delivery of the task.
  • Define and implement any monitoring measures for badgers as required by the badger Mitigation Strategy.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in the management and survey of badgers on a construction project.
  • Project management skills and demonstrable evidence of stakeholder engagement and site construction experience.
  • CSCS card and a 2-day outdoor first aid certificate.
  • Pass a security clearance procedure.
  • Undertake a Lantra 4x4 course.
