Plant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team at our Gateshead readymix concrete plant. This is a dynamic and varied role that requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and operate a busy ready-mix concrete batch plant, ensuring safe and efficient production.
- Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage the production of RMX concrete, adhering to QSRMC requirements and internal Quality Procedures.
- Carry out pre-start checks on fixed and mobile plant, reporting defects using internal systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of incoming raw materials, including aggregates, admixtures, and cements.
- Complete weekly and monthly stock checks, maintaining accurate records.
- Induct haulier drivers, visitors, and customers, promoting a professional image and ensuring site rules are followed.
- Work collaboratively with contractors to control and organize plant maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform general housekeeping duties and site improvements, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience as a Plant Supervisor or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of concrete production processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Computer literacy in Google Drive, G Mail, JD Edwards, PowerPoint, Google Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional working from home, offices, or other locations.
