Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant to join our team at RPS Group. As a Technical Director - Ecology, you will be responsible for growing, managing, and supporting our ecological team, delivering master planning inputs, ecological appraisals, botanical, BNG, and protected species surveys and studies, mitigation design and construction, and post-construction supervision and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ecological projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
- Identify opportunities for business growth and development
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, legislation, and best practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an ecological consultant, with a strong track record of delivering projects
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of ecological principles, methods, and legislation
- Full driving license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education to degree level in a relevant subject
- CIEEM membership (Full)
