We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Health and Safety professional to join our client's gas division as a SHEQ Advisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utilities environments, preferably within the gas industry.
Key Responsibilities- Support the planning and promotion of health, safety, environment, and quality programs.
- Engage and communicate with all operational staff on HSEQ matters.
- Monitor the health, safety, environment, and quality performance on contracts and take necessary steps to improve standards.
- Carry out regular and continuous site, compound, and CDM audits.
- Ensure CDM sites are compliant and relevant documentation is in place and up-to-date.
- Support in compiling, reviewing, and revising project SHEQ documentation.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, utility damages, and introduce preventative measures to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure all levels of staff under your influence have the appropriate training in health, safety, quality, and environmental matters.
- Provide specialist advice on the company's safety policy and procedures and compliance with statutory obligations.
- Previous experience working within utilities environments, preferably within the gas industry.
- NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (NVQ Level 5 as a minimum standard).
- EUSR or CSCS in a related subject.
- NRSWA (SWQR).
- Working knowledge of HSG47.
- Proficient in Accident/Incident investigation and RCA.
- Proficient in data analysis and compiling reports.
