Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Marketing Manager to join our senior management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales, event marketing, promotions, and offers across our various brands.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, implementing, and delivering successful targeted marketing and advertising campaigns across all channels to ensure target audience numbers and income levels are achieved.
  • Developing and managing a rolling content calendar, coordinating content creation across channels.
  • Analysing data and identifying key behaviours and trends in customer activity to maximise sales opportunities and improve customer retention.
  • Producing, optimising, and reviewing blog content.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators to track the success of marketing campaigns and incorporating findings into future campaigns for better results.
  • Maintaining the promotional aspects of our websites, ensuring all online information is accurate, relevant, timely, and effective, and improving web user experience and SEO.
  • Developing our membership scheme, reviewing the offering to members, and increasing the number of members.
  • Developing relationships with major employers in the public and private sectors, offering incentives to their workforces, and devising specific promotional activity to promote and sustain such schemes.
  • Constantly reviewing promotional offers to our customer database to ensure they are effective and attractive.
  • Devising specific action plans relating to special events.
  • Working with individual project managers to ensure publicity and devising local strategies to boost sales and attendance.
  • Leading our newsletter, content creation, distribution, and performance analysis.
  • Creating and distributing impactful case studies.
  • Producing key print materials, such as leaflets, trade packs, and labels, including writing copy, editing, liaison with designers, printers, and distribution agencies.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our marketing plan and specific marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Dealing with all aspects of the effective marketing of our different business streams across the organisation.
  • Planning and executing email marketing campaigns, optimising for engagement and conversion.
  • Acting as a brand champion, ensuring consistent messaging across all areas of the business.
  • Attending events, fairs, shows, etc. to represent the Company, if required.

Key Accountabilities & KPIs

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Revenue Growth & Client Retention: Developing strategies that drive client acquisition and loyalty.
  • Brand Awareness: Elevating our brand visibility in key markets.
  • Engagement & Conversion: Implementing tactics that boost prospect engagement and conversion rates.
  • ROI Optimization: Continuously analysing and improving the efficiency of marketing spend.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will meet the majority of the following requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of developing a marketing plan and managing marketing campaigns to deliver key, income, and other targets.
  • Ability to proactively drive sales through brand and event marketing, promotions, and offers.

Skills and Knowledge

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, including excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage external partners' efforts.
  • Good knowledge of a broad range of social media channels, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Competency using MS Office software and website CRS systems.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in demand generation and digital marketing.
  • Proficient in using marketing automation tools, with experience with HubSpot preferred.
  • Strong content creation and project management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in measuring marketing performance.
  • Prior experience in a similar business development/sales/account management role is beneficial.
