Academy Medical Support Specialist

The role of a medical support specialist is to provide medical assistance to Luton Town Academy players under the direction of the Senior Academy Physiotherapist.
Key Responsibilities:- To provide medical services, physiotherapy, and sports science support to players
- To assist in line with the Club's strategic objectives and the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
- To manage injuries effectively and ensure necessary medical support services are present at Academy training sessions and games
The specialist will work with a multidisciplinary team, communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff, and maintain honesty and integrity at all times. They will be responsible for meeting all EPPP guidelines, producing regular reports, and undertaking personal CPD as appropriate.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of medical procedures and protocols is essential, as well as experience working with athletes or children.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and paid annual leave.
