About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team at Laurus Ryecroft High School. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a full range of cleaning tasks, including cleaning classrooms, corridors, kitchen and toilet areas, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor buffing.
  • Use equipment, machinery, and cleaning materials effectively and efficiently, adhering to safe working practices.
  • Check and report any faults with equipment, machinery, or the building itself to the on-site supervisor or Area Manager.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and deal with minor queries or complaints, relaying significant issues to the on-site supervisor or Area Manager.
  • Participate in staff training programs and carry out duties responsibly, with due regard to the Authority's Health and Safety Policy.
