About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves working in a team undertaking detailed analysis of construction projects in the UK and internationally. As a key member of the Contract Services Claims & Disputes team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to clients worldwide.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong construction-related degree qualification and/or legal qualification, with experience in leading the pursuit of claims up or down the supply-chain. You will be able to critically analyse project and major programme performance, identifying root causes of distressing elements.

In this role, you will lead the development of contract and commercial strategies to successfully recover performance of distressed projects or major programmes. Effective stakeholder management is also essential, as you will work closely with clients and other advisors to chair meetings and provide strategic advice.

You will have a working knowledge of relevant applications and technologies in the quantity surveying, commercial management industry, such as BCIS, Cost-X, CEMAR. Your analytical skills will enable you to critically evaluate client claims and disputes, providing recommendations on proceeding or amending the basis of claim.

Ambassadors for Turner & Townsend Group, you will champion the Contract Services delivered by the company in the industry, promoting its reputation for quality and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of contract and commercial strategies to recover distressed projects or major programmes
  • Critically analyse project and major programme performance to identify root causes of distress
  • Effectively manage stakeholders, including clients and other advisors
  • Provide strategic advice on claims and disputes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Strong construction-related degree qualification and/or legal qualification
  • Experience in leading the pursuit of claims up or down the supply-chain
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Working knowledge of relevant applications and technologies in the quantity surveying, commercial management industry
