Sustainability Data Analyst Opportunity

Unreal Gigs is seeking a skilled Sustainability Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing sustainability metrics and creating reports that drive impactful business decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and Analyze Sustainability Data: Gather and analyze data on energy use, emissions, waste, water usage, and other sustainability metrics using statistical tools and software.
  2. Create Sustainability Reports and Dashboards: Develop detailed reports and data dashboards that track sustainability KPIs, such as carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste reduction progress.
  3. Evaluate Carbon Footprint and Emissions Data: Perform carbon accounting and emissions analysis to quantify the organization's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Collaborate on Sustainability Goals and Strategies: Work with sustainability and environmental teams to define sustainability goals and track their progress, providing data-driven recommendations for achieving targets.
  5. Stay Updated on Sustainability Metrics and Standards: Keep abreast of emerging sustainability frameworks, metrics, and industry standards, ensuring that sustainability metrics align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  6. Support Communication and Reporting for Stakeholders: Assist in preparing sustainability reports for internal stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting.

Requirements:

  1. Strong experience in data analysis focused on sustainability metrics, such as energy consumption, carbon emissions, water usage, and waste management.
  2. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Python/R.
  3. Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards and frameworks, such as GHG Protocol, CDP, and ESG reporting.
  4. Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and lifecycle analysis to quantify and understand environmental effects.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in sustainability data analysis, with hands-on experience analyzing sustainability metrics and creating reports.
