As a Category Manager at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our category team and develop strategies to meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the category team to achieve cost savings and supply chain improvements.
- Develop and implement category strategies to meet business objectives, including cost reduction, supply base optimization, and process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate supply and commercial risks.
- Manage and negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers to ensure best value for the business.
- Lead and support tender activities to optimize supply base and improve supplier performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Monitor and report on category performance, including cost savings, supply chain efficiency, and supplier performance.
- Proven experience in a category management or procurement role, with a strong track record of delivering cost savings and supply chain improvements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including procurement, logistics, and supply base optimization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management, such as MCIPS or CSCP, is desirable.
