Join our team at Bellavista Group of Nursing Homes as a Registered Nurse in our dementia care unit. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents.
About the Role:- Manage the nursing care of a group of dementia registered persons, ensuring that care is appropriate, planned, and reviewed regularly in line with the home's policies and procedures.
- Deliver compassionate and empathetic nursing care to the residents, ensuring that care plans are followed by the team.
- Give prescribed medications in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with medication administration policies.
- Produce comprehensive handovers and maintain confidentiality, ensuring all team members are updated on resident care.
- Promote wellbeing in line with the law (Wellbeing Act 2014) and comply with RISCA regulations.
- Actively promote safeguarding standards on all shifts.
- Document all nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes accurately.
- Ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors by raising health and safety concerns appropriately.
- Provide clinical supervision for junior staff and support their learning and development.
- Provide mental health support and intervention for residents with BPSD.
- Registered Nurse with active NMC registration.
- Preference for experience in a dementia setting.
- Good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
- Good IT skills including Word and Excel.
- Commitment to high-quality care and evidence-based practice.
- Nursing experience of at least 1 year preferred.
- Full uniform supplied.
- Staff appreciation and wellbeing.
