About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with specific learning needs at a school in Folkestone. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pupil's academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer personalised, 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning requirements, helping them access and engage with the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and resources, ensuring they meet the pupil's needs.
  • Support the pupil's emotional and social development, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress, liaising with teachers, SENCO, and parents.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a structured, supportive environment.
  • Assist with any personal care needs if required.
About You
  • Previous experience working 1:1 with pupils or supporting children with SEN is advantageous.
  • Patient, understanding, and dedicated to helping children achieve their full potential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the unique needs of the pupil.
  • A genuine passion for education and making a difference in young lives.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
