We are seeking a skilled Watercraft Instructor to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. This role involves delivering exceptional teaching and learning in plumbing and gas standards, ensuring apprentices excel at Level 3 and are fully prepared for end-point assessments.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing high-quality teaching resources and activities to enhance the curriculum. They will also be responsible for assessing and providing constructive feedback on apprentices' coursework, tracking attendance and progress, and implementing interventions to ensure timely achievement.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and success of our training centre. We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative teaching and assessment for theoretical and practical Level 3 courses in line with awarding organization requirements.
- Develop high-quality teaching resources and activities to enhance the curriculum.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on apprentices' coursework.
- Track attendance, punctuality, and progress, implementing interventions to ensure timely achievement.
- Advise on and manage materials and equipment for workshops and teaching activities.
- Maintain discipline and ensure the welfare and safety of apprentices during training sessions.
- Liaise with internal and external inspection bodies (e.g., Ofsted), responding promptly to requests.
- Provide support and guidance to apprentices throughout their training, promoting their development and readiness for assessments.
- Respond to employer and apprentice queries professionally and promptly.
- Keep accurate administrative records and maintain up-to-date industry and teaching knowledge.
