Job Summary

Credit Analyst role that will support the analysis and management of credit risk, ensuring alignment with bank Risk Appetite and Credit Risk Management Policy. Reporting directly to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credit Risk Management: Conduct independent credit risk analysis, covering deal structures, loan obligors, guarantors, money market, and derivative counterparties.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Manage the credit log for new applications from Front Office (Corporate Lending, Institutional Banking, Trade Finance) and Financial Markets. Provide monthly management information on credit risk transactions and assist with quarterly stress-testing analysis.
  • Risk Appetite Assessment: Evaluate the impact of new deals on the Branch's Risk Appetite Statement, ensuring alignment with overall risk management policies.

Requirements

  • Credit Risk Expertise: Proven ability to analyse credit risk in relation to corporate lending.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate lending, knowledge of structured deals a plus (project finance, leveraged finance etc).
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in internal rating methodology, stress testing, and legal documentation.
