Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Mondelēz International, a leading global snacking company, is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to oversee the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems across its Bournville site.
About the RoleThis key position will be responsible for driving a safety-perfect culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, and facilitating the development and maintenance of EHS procedures and systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, preferably within the FMCG/manufacturing sector, and possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Windows and auditing expertise on ISO 14001 or similar global standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead EHS Programs and Processes: Coordinate all Environment, Health & Safety programs and processes, ensuring effective implementation and continuous improvement.
- Investigations and Non-Conformances: Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances, develop root cause analysis reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Health & Safety Expertise: Provide Health & Safety expertise for new projects and change management activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Risk Assessments and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and implement controls to minimize accidents or asset losses that might harm employees, contractors, or property.
- Culture Change and Behavioral Safety: Facilitate implementation of corrective and preventative actions, drive behavioral safety as a way of life, and lead cultural change initiatives across the site.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety, preferably within FMCG/manufacturing.
- Tech-savvy with experience of Windows and an ability to adapt to other systems as required.
- Some experience as a Health & Safety practitioner.
- Experience in auditing on ISO 14001 or similar global standards.
- Change Management/Project management experience (desired).
