The Talent Partnership seeks a skilled mental health solicitor or fee earner to join its team in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert legal advice and representation to clients facing mental health issues, including those detained under the Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities:
  • Advise and represent clients on mental health law matters, including tribunal applications, appeals, and case management.
  • Liaise with mental health professionals, advocacy groups, and stakeholders to support client needs.
  • Provide legal representation at mental health review tribunals and other hearings.
  • Manage a varied caseload, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with developments in mental health law.
Requirements:
  • Qualification as a solicitor or fee earner with experience in mental health law, ideally with panel membership.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • A compassionate and client-focused approach to legal practice.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining high standards of client care.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about changes in mental health law.
