Job Title: Risk and Control Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Specialist to join our team at Vermelo RPO. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of Group Finance accounting and reporting policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance. They will be responsible for helping to manage and track governance-related initiatives, identifying, escalating, managing, and reporting risk and control deficiencies, and supporting the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring adherence to internal policies, business standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of control self-assessment and compliance monitoring procedures and templates.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to policy adherence, control effectiveness, assurance results, incident management, and others for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Working towards accounting or internal audit qualification or recently qualified (preferred).
  • Experience of internal audit and/or internal controls monitoring in a large, regulated business (preferred).

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.
