About the Role:

Runwood Homes, a leading provider of care services, seeks a Deputy Chief Operating Officer to drive operational excellence and strategic growth across its portfolio of care homes in the South.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in operational leadership, with experience in managing multiple locations and driving performance improvements. They will be responsible for supporting the Chief Operating Officer in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership: Collaborate with the COO to develop and implement operational strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and objectives.
  2. Care Quality and Compliance: Oversee the maintenance of high standards of care and compliance across all care facilities, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
  3. Financial and Resource Management: Assist in the financial management of care homes, ensuring budgets are adhered to and financial performance aligns with organisational goals.
  4. Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and support to regional managers, home managers, and their teams, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous development.
  5. Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the COO and senior management team to develop and implement long-term operational strategies for Runwood Homes.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, healthcare providers, and local authorities, to ensure compliance and promote a positive reputation.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of operational leadership, with experience in managing multiple locations and driving performance improvements. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality care and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
