Clinical Leadership and Governance

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Director to lead our clinical governance and operations. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of safe, high-quality clinical care across the Division.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Ensure clinical engagement in the delivery of full compliance with the requirements of all aspects of the Trust's governance, safety, quality, and risk framework, including compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

* Be responsible for medical staffing issues, including when problems or difficulties arise, and conduct any enquiries with respect to performance and conduct in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and Chief People Officer.

* Ensure systems are in place within the Division to enable all staff to participate in an annual appraisal, statutory, and mandatory training, and that staff are fully engaged in working in line with the Trust's values.

* Ensure job plans are in place for all consultants and non-consultant career grade posts that align with the needs of the clinical services and that they are reviewed annually.

* Work in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Medical Officer, and colleague Divisional Directors to develop and implement a Trust-wide consultant performance management and appraisal system.

* Be responsible for encouraging appropriate and constructive team working.

* Represent all service lines within the Division at a corporate level and ensure effective communication channels and engagement between clinicians and managers within the Division.

* Experience of working in a similar role or with a similar level of responsibility
