Job Opportunity

TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading firm of chartered accountants in their search for an Audit and Accounts Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of experienced professionals and contribute to the growth of the company.

You will be exposed to a wide range of businesses, from large corporates to not-for-profit organisations, including schools, academies, and charities. Your responsibilities will include planning and performing audits, obtaining background data, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and drafting management letters and reports.

This is a mixed audit and accounts opportunity, with the ability to mould the split between both audit and accounts around the individual. You will work with the wider team in a hands-on position, leading in a methodical manner to meet the needs of clients and complete audits fully before manager and partner review.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform audits, with scope to lead a team of junior auditors, depending on experience
  • Obtain background data for audit planning
  • Prepare & review financial statements
  • Draft Management letters and reports
  • Ensure time budgets are maintained
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships
  • Supervise and assist junior staff
  • Liaise with other departments to efficiently and effectively help clients
  • Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA fully qualified, or qualified by experience
  • 3+ years of accountancy practice experience
  • Previous audit experience
