Job Title: FRA Carpenter Specialist

Fortus Recruitment Group, a leading recruitment company in the repairs and maintenance industry, is seeking an experienced FRA Carpenter for a Permanent position. The successful candidate will work in domestic properties in Guildford and surrounding areas.

The job entails installing fire doors, ensuring compliance with regulations. This includes fitting new fire doors and constructing assemblies to guarantee compatibility of all component parts. Additionally, the candidate will install and repair fire doors, adjust gaps for compliance, perform general repairs due to damage, replace hinges, change damaged locks, fit new locks, and redo plastering work around doors.

A key aspect of this role is fixing fire door signs and applying fire-stopping measures. The ideal candidate should be able to make good and finish remedial and repair works on fire doors, as well as upgrade existing fire doors to meet compliance standards.
