Job Title: Controls & Software Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Controls & Software Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing software aspects of machinery to meet project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC, HMI Software, and SCADA systems.
  • Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of the problem, and recommend remedial measures.
  • Provide IQ/OQ support on site (occasional).

Requirements:

  • Software Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with WinCC and SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in TIA Portal, Ladder Logic, PLC, and HMI.
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7.
  • Scripting skills (VB/C, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
